We are thrilled to announce the launch of the new SUMN.org website, a comprehensive resource dedicated to substance use prevention in Minnesota. With a focus on accessibility and community support, our updated platform offers a wealth of resources, data, and tools designed to empower communities fighting against substance misuse.
We're rolling out the new features incrementally. If you're having trouble finding data, visit the legacy SUMN site, or email info@sumn.org.
Our revamped site includes the ability to use keywords to search for resources on substance use, data from various sources, and reports specific to populations in Minnesota.
Archived County Fact Sheets with historical data are still available for each county in Minnesota. However, with the new site, the PDFs will be replaced with the county-level dashboard at Data by Location, with comprehensive overviews of youth and adult substance use and mental health information by county, including state comparisons.
The Dataset Search pulls data from various sources in Minnesota, including substance use and mental health data from the Minnesota Student Survey (MSS) and the Minnesota Survey of Adult Substance Use (MNSASU); crash facts from the Minnesota Office of Traffic Safety; and statewide treatment admissions data from the Drug and Alcohol Abuse Normative Evaluation System (DAANES). These datasets are searchable by location and demographic variables (where available).
Have questions or feedback? Our dedicated team is here to help. Contact us through our website or at info@sumn.org.
Together, we can make a difference. Join us in this important mission and help spread the word about the new SUMN.org. Let's build a brighter future for all Minnesotans.
